As the former Head of Growth at Change.org, she's aligned her professional skills with a personal ambition to change the world and empower others to do the same. She's a mom, foodie, and travel lover as well as a Chicago resident who's always hungry for discovering Michelin stars. Erika’s prior roles include VP of Product & Strategy at Wyzant (a tutoring marketplace that supports millions of students with their learning goals) and she was a founding member of the product team at Grubhub.

Defining + Analyzing Retention
Retention is different for every product. Learn how to define, measure, and analyze retention from first principles for your product.
Activation - Defining, Measuring, and Analyzing
Activation is the first key input into improving retention. You will define your activation moments and metrics, analyze the activation journey, and identify key friction points.
Activation Strategies
Learn the various strategies of how to establish user habits quickly. You will take your analysis from week 2, and build a plan for how to specifically improve activation for various user segments.
Engagement - Defining, Measuring, and Analyzing
Engagement is the second key input into improving retention. You will choose the right engagement strategy for your product, define measurement that aligns to that strategy, and analyze engagement to find new opportunities.
Engagement Strategies
Go deeper into the four strategies that move users from low to high engagement and learn how to combine them to build a compounding growth machine.
Churn Prediction + Resurrection
Define non-activated users vs. dormant users, and learn to identify resurrection opportunities. Identify leading indicators of churn while understanding the true cost of any resurrection attempt.
FAQs
The 4-6 week live courses offered this fall all require a Reforge membership. This includes the following courses: Growth Series, Retention & Engagement, Growth Leadership, Product Management Foundations, Mastering Product Management, Product Strategy, Product-Led Growth, and Marketing Technology
Like with any meaningful experience, you get out what you put in. When you enroll in a course, you are expected to attend all live events, complete all exercises, and review all asynchronous content and material. Please note that all events and content will be in English.
In total, we expect a weekly time commitment of at least 3-5 hours each week. Many members decide to devote significantly more, but here’s how that minimum breaks down:
• Async content: 1-3 hours depending on the program
• Live events: 90 minutes, plus 5-10 min reviewing case pre-read in advance.
• Additional engagement: 30 - 90 min per week for Slack engagement and applying material to your work.
