Senior Content Strategist

About This Role
The Senior Content Strategist (Content Producer, Content Editor, etc) role is an opportunity for a versatile content professional to put their work at the center of the product experience and influence product direction. You'll have the opportunity to work across mediums (written, audio, and video) and be the lead on architecting the content experience for multiple Reforge professional education programs. You'll be one of three critical roles on a cross-functional team of three (Research Lead, Visual Designer, and this role) that owns multiple Reforge programs.
You'll be joining as part of the foundational team of a profitable proven startup, doubling seven figure revenue year over year, that is led by experienced entrepreneurs. In addition, you will be integrated into our community of subject matter experts include the leaders behind building companies like Slack, Pinterest, CreditKarma, ClassPass, ipsy, Eventbrite, SurveyMonkey, Thumbtack, and more.
Reforge was founded by Brian Balfour (former VP Growth @ HubSpot, 3X venture backed founder) and includes key advisors (Andrew Chen, Managing Partner @ Andreesen Horowitz, former growth @ Uber) and Russell Glass (Former founder/CEO Bizo - acquired by LinkedIn). What You'll Do
Architect The Content Experience
Collaborate with a cross functional team of research lead, content designers and others to develop world-class content on frontier topics for Reforge programs.
You will knit together the course lessons, research, and personal stories/examples from subject matter experts to produce a content experience that is engaging, deep, and best in class.
You will integrate knowledge of storytelling, pacing, and instructional design to architect a compelling content experience.
Drive User Research
Own gathering, synthesizing, and prioritizing customer feedback on course content for your team.
You will analyze content engagement data for your programs to make data informed decisions.
Produce In-Depth, Engaging Content
You will be the “glue” of your team that brings together all the different pieces of program content into a seamless experience.
Produce in depth video and audio interviews with leaders from the top companies in technology
Help source and manage individual contractors across video, case study and data set production.
Develop and Execute Editing Standards
You will help develop a style guide, tone, and other editing standards across our program content.
Copy edit every piece of information that is published for your programs.

Cross-Functional Team - You will work within a cross-functional team of visual designers and research leads that own a major topic area for a set of Reforge programs.
Product - You will work with product managers and engineers to help enable new content tools and experiences.

What We Are Looking For
5+ years of content development experience as a content manager, editor, producer, or instructional designer.
A portfolio or body of examples of content or experiences that you have created or produced.
Strong storytelling ability, making complex analytical concepts accessible, visual and engaging.
Ability to think visually and work with content designers and research leads to bring concepts to life.
Strong sense of user experience and aesthetic.
Ability to develop user-research and customer feedback and analyze it in pieces to identify problems and areas of opportunity.
Knowledge of how to use video, audio, and content editing tools.
Solid project and people management skills. Ability to coordinate teams and keep them on schedule.
Knowledge or passion for online education.
