The Head of Marketing role is an opportunity for an experienced marketing leader who is able to balance an analytical approach to marketing, while building a premium brand. You will have a solid foundation of assets to work with including an email list of >100K subscribers, a strong network of influencers, a product with an NPS of 70, a passionate community of over 2000 top performers, and a testimonial list a mile long. As part of the role you will be joining the center of our community of VP level leaders at the fastest growing tech companies including Credit Karma, Eventbrite, Instacart, Uber, Facebook, Pinterest, and many more.
You'll be joining as part of the foundational team of a profitable proven startup, doubling seven figure revenue year over year, that is led by experienced entrepreneurs. Reforge was founded by Brian Balfour (former VP Growth @ HubSpot, 3X venture backed founder) and includes key advisors (Andrew Chen, Managing Partner @ Andreesen Horowitz, former growth @ Uber) and Russell Glass (Former founder/CEO Bizo - acquired by LinkedIn). We are based in San Francisco, but welcome remote team members based in the US. What You'll Do
Develop and Own The Marketing Strategy
Develop and own the marketing strategy across all Reforge programs and channels including virality, email, content, influencers, brand, and lifecycle marketing.
Define and execute a strategy to keep our growing alumni base engaged in the Reforge community.
Implement An Analytical and Technical Marketing Foundation
Define and lead the implementation of a marketing infrastructure that will enable a team of analytical, versatile, and fast moving marketers
Define, analyze, communicate, and own marketing metrics and goals.
Build and Lead A Team
Recruit, hire, and develop a top performing marketing team.
Manage a team of marketers that will be embedded in outcome oriented cross-functional teams.
Facilitate The Reforge Story and Brand
Participate in the development of the Reforge story and brand in conjunction with a 3rd party agency
Implement the Reforge Story and Brand across the various stages of the user lifecycle
What We Are Looking For
8+ years of marketing or product marketing experience, with 2+ years leading a team.
Due to the scope and cross-functional nature of this role, we’re looking for an experienced marketing leader who has a passion for all aspects for marketing. Including:
A analytical performance marketing mindset with the ability to facilitate the creation and execution of a brand
Ability to have detailed conversations regarding analytics and metrics while balancing with consumer and creative insight.
Ability to build a marketing strategy across all touch points of the customer lifecycle.
Proven ability to recruit and hire top performing marketers.
You are a strategic thinker while able to get into tactical execution when needed.
Ability to play both player and coach in the mid term, with the desire to be a full time coach over the long term.
