With this document, I successfully secured buy-in from senior executives. They recognized the importance of delivering value to our customers promptly and agreed to trim the feature to fit within the MVP scope. This strategy will allow us to release a functional and impactful version of the feature, setting the foundation for future enhancements.


I was able to estimate a feasible release date for the feature by combining the remaining user stories, average story points per user story, and team velocity.

I created this release plan update in order to gain buy in from senior executives to reduce the complexity of features to launch an MVP quickly.

 Gain buy-in from senior executives on a feature trimming plan to 

release this product with the expedited timeline of Q4 2023

Based off an initial XXXX development analysis, if we develop every feature encompassed in the original FIGMA designs, we are on schedule to optimistically

 release in February/March 2024 (~7.5 months).

If we want to release an MVP for XXXX at the end of Q4 2023, we are proposing the trimming of the features below:

 only require two statuses on the pipeline.

 only a single tab on the settings page will be developed (LEI) and the design tab will be developed. All the mappings settings will be developed for v2.

 Borrower/Lenders are not allowed to send out demographic form from application or pipeline. A borrower is allowed to fill out demographic information for all owners on an application.

Does not take into the bugs that are found along the way. This will increase development time.

Does not include additional tickets that 

need to be created as development continues.

Making a rough estimation of the number of tickets in the remaining epics that have not been sliced.

Does not take into PTO and time spent on other projects for developers.

Does not take into account the complexity of the epic i.e. one ticket might be much more complex than another ticket.
