Brazil heavily regulates their banking services so we created this governance process to support any new product, campaign or feature that our teams launch.

This is a new process we put in place to prevent discovering problems once we’re already close to launch. Because it is still new, we are encouraging everyone to use it (no matter how minor the launch). Soon we can evaluate and create a standard for usage.

We made this particular form on Retool, so we’re able to design it to include all of the information we’d like. While most of the information can be customized to fit the needs of a particular launch, the compliance, legal, operational risk, safety, accounting, and treasury teams cannot be removed from the communication loop.

The form is connected to Slack, so every time a team is “selected”, their point person receives a notification. Their teams then evaluate the feature and ensure that everything is going to be up to regulation.

The dashboard allows you to view where in the approval process each feature is, so you can quickly see which teams are still working through your request and which teams have completed them.

This is a quick way for the whole team to see what projects are happening, and the risk level each carries.
