I am currently in the research phase where I am understanding end to end processes in the Indian pharma industry. The aim is to understand data, reporting needs as well as pain points in every stage of the process. My goal is to analyse how a data analytics solution can aid Indian pharma's data maturity assisting them to take data driven decisions. This will improve data governance, data security and regulatory compliance which is critical in the pharma industry.

For my research I primarily relied on various pharma portals, research publications from sources like Pubmed. FDA and it's publications, publications and reports from Government and pharma regulatory bodies in the Industry as well as Chat GPT powered search engines like Bard and Bing

Once I had a draft ready, the next step was to validate information, especially where I saw deviations. For that I reached out to domain experts in the industry and had several brainstorming sessions. These sessions validated my knowledge as well as corrected errors and deviations.

My next step is to further decompose the process to understand tasks within sub processes and data requirements. I am planning focus group discussions of user personas that have expertise in each of the departments in the pharma industry to dive into details - which will also help me understand key and critical pain points that need to be addressed.
