The community builder provides members with an exceptional experience. This includes developing and maintaining a long-term relationship, managing expectations, and providing solutions to inquiries and issues. The community builder should strive to meet members’ satisfaction goals, increase members’ loyalty, and drive internal and external collaboration. Additionally, the community builder should strive to stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends.
Positioning
The community builder is the face of the company in our community. As the bridge between our members and the organization, community builders have a significant influence on the roadmaps.
They champion the voice of the members, ensuring that their needs and concerns are taken into consideration when shaping the platform's future. It is crucial for community builders to proactively share user feedback with other teams, facilitating informed decision-making and collaborative project roadmaps.
As it is a position that we consider fundamental for our growth the community-builder is reporting to the head of growth.
Why now?
In 2021 we started our content-led strategy run with high-quality content and tools to help software developers manage their careers. The idea is to bring them value throughout their career, managing the anxiety of changing jobs, comparing salaries on the market, and trends in high-demand technologies. This content-led growth strategy of building an audience was the first step of our next growth. Starting with this audience, we want to create a space and environment for our software engineering community around tech career management to exist.
